I'm so excited about today's post. I'm amazed at how much you can get done in just one hour if you strategize and are very deliberate with your time. My power hour is so productive that I just have to share these tips with you.
Here are the five key things I do every time I sit down for a Power Hour.
MINDSET
Before you even think about digging in to work, make sure your mindset is right. Ask yourself, are you energized? Are you excited? Are you anticipating the GOOD things that will happen during this hour? Take the time to get your mindset right. Here's how I do that:
๐Start with gratitude - What are you thankful for today? Seriously, there is SO MUCH good in every single day. Focus on that and be mindful. Also, be looking for good things as the day progresses.
๐30 minutes of movement - You don't have to run a marathon, girl! Just get your body in motion for a half hour. Do something you enjoy!
๐ Personal development - Listen to a podcast of a speaker you love, blast some worship music, or read a book. Do something to better your mind.
CONNECTION
Connection and Engagement - Here's how I connect and engage with new people:
๐คฉ Make 5 new friends per day - These should be people you want to do business or life with. You're not recruiting them today, just adding them to develop a relationship.
๐คฉ Wish them a Happy Birthday. Do it a day early and make it unique. This makes you stand out and the personal touch gives you authenticity. If you want to stand out even more do this with a video or a voice recording. (Let me know which you like best)
๐คฉ Here's a quick Facebook Hack: You can follow as many people as you want without landing yourself in FB jail. You can't add too many friends but you can follow however many people you like without penalty.
๐คฉ Leave comments for people on their posts, stories, videos, etc. Be engaging and encouraging. Make your comments meaningful and add value to their life.
PROSPECTING
Now that we've made more friends, it's time to take them into the invitation process. Don't skip this part or you won't move forward in your business. You have to take the time to invite people to take a look at your business. This is how friends become customers, customers become business partners.
๐Keep it simple. Invite 5 new people to learn more about your business
๐Use the Add, Tag, Message system. Send your prospect a message saying something like "Hey, Sara, I'm going to go ahead and add you to a community that I think you're going to love with your permission? So many people are improving their gut health & now surrounded with accountability & tips if it isn't for you hop out but I think you will love this community!"
๐ Make it your daily goal to have five people to take a look at your product or service, five people to look at the business opportunity, and add 5 people to your FB group. For my EXTRA achievers make it a goal to send out 3-5 words of gratitude to people on your heart.
FOLLOW UP
Industry standards say a prospective customer has to see something seven or eight times before they will decide to move forward in the decision process.
๐ฑUsing the list above, reach out to five people. Follow up to see if they have any questions, get feedback, etc. Remember, you're talking with potential customers and business partners. Get them excited. Tell or tag them in stories that they may resonate with.
๐ฑYou must ask people THE QUESTION. Ask them, "On a scale of 1-10, how close are you to getting started with me?" It's always best to know upfront. If they are close to a 10 but need answers, take all the time needed for the close.
CONTENT CREATION
This may sound crazy but in my experience, this is actually the least important of the five steps. Hang with me for a minute and I'll explain. If people feel they matter, they will follow your socials and engage with you. If they don't feel a connection, they likely won't connect with you, meaning they won't become customers or business partners. So, do the steps above first but DO be sure you are active on social media platforms, too.
๐ฉ๐ผ๐ป Pick just one social platform to DOMINATE for now. I use Facebook so I stick with that 80% of the time. One post per day, that's it! If you don't post once every day, it won't look like you're open for business.
(I know you want to do MORE THAN ONE...but Consistency is MOST important here)
๐ฉ๐ผ๐ปPost quick stories throughout the day. These can take as little as a minute to create. Make a curiosity post, show your morning routine, give a shout-out, share some good news or a testimony, etc. The ideas are endless! Do these 5 times per day. Remember, they should only take a minute or two to create. Spread them out. Show some behind-the-scenes footage, show your kids to connect with other moms, etc.
๐ฉ๐ผ๐ปGO LIVE - Decide when you want to go live and DO IT! Consider it your own show. It's important. And it will help your business grow so much faster. It ADDS VALUE and helps people CONNECT with you. The more they know you, the more they will do business with you.
(The KNOW, LIKE & TRUST factor)
If you sit down every single day for one hour and work through these steps, your business is going to grow.
