Opening the month - is that really a thing? YES, IT IS!

What does it have to do with Recruiting? Everything! I've been in Network Marketing for almost a decade and this is one of the best tips I can share with you about recruiting and reaching your milestones. Here's the deal, early in my career, I didn't realize the opening the month was one of the key ways that set people up to reach their goals. 

So, keep reading, friend. This is going to save you time & give you leverage.

First, decide on a goal! This can be a volume, sales, rank, or personal recruitment goal. Whatever you are wanting to achieve this month, write it down! Then divide that goal by the # of days in the month. Now you know the number you need to hit daily or weekly to achieve your goal. 

Next, it's time to share this goal with your team and find out their goals. Help them divide these up into daily pillars as well. 

Once you have a plan, it's time to get to work! Start by frontloading the month. Frontloading means that you push really hard in the first few days to exceed the daily goal and start the month off strong. 

For instance, if you have a goal to recruit five new team members, plan to have the first three signed by the middle of the month. This is important for a couple of reasons. First, it just feels good. It drives momentum to finish the month strong. Second, it builds excitement in your team! If you're crushing it and share your enthusiasm with them, they are more likely to join you. 

To further encourage your team, offer an incentive for them to reach 60-70% of their goal by midmonth. The incentive doesn't have to be huge. It could be a Starbucks gift card, a business training book, or private training with you. Whatever works best for you and what you think will get your team fired up. 

Have you heard the saying "An empty calendar is an empty bank account"? Here are three ways you can fill up your calendar and reach your goal. 

  • Put at least four opportunity calls on your calendar for the month. Include someone who is really excited about the business so they can share their success as well. 
  • Plan two social media lives per week. One can be with a leader on your team who is knowledgeable and excited about the opportunity, have them join you on a dual Facebook or Instagram Live & share with listeners the top 4 highlights about your company.  The other ideas could be you unboxing, a new product or incentive trip your business is offering, a testimonial, or to show off some fun swag!
    Remember: Visibility = Credibility. 
  • Plan your Power Hours. Spend that time being very intentional with your time. Get them in your calendar and Network diligently during that time! 

Last, let's tackle your Mindset. This is one of the most important aspects of business success. If you have a mindset of success, not only will you make it to the finish line but you'll bring your team along with you!
